Has Mother's Day creeped up on you this year? I know it has with me. With all the hustle and bustle for Easter, I barely had any energy for Mother's Day. (but that should be okay since I'm a mom, right?) Well, if you are like me and are scrounging around for some quick and easy gift ideas for your mom, MIL, or any other mom you may know, you have come to the right place. Here's a couple of gifts I am planning on giving this year.
I found this neat little tutorial on how to make this Mom sign at 4 Crazy Kings. It's super easy to do! Looking at it you would not believe it was made out of a cereal box! (Yes, a cereal box!!) It basically cost me nothing to make. I had some chrome metal spraypaint to make it look like it was bent metal or something. Looks even better in person!
Remember when mothers would wear a corsage that their children gave them on Mother's Day? Well, you can bring that old tradition back by making a corsage for any mom you know. Bonus: since it's a paper flower, it will last forever! Make and Takes has this detailed tutorial on how to make these beautiful corsages out of ribbon, wire, and scrapbook paper. So simple! Little Birdie Secrets has a video tutorial on how to make the paper flower that you don't have to use only in a corsage. She also gives you tips on using it on cards, gifts, or other miscellaneous crafts.
So go and make one (or both!) of these DIY gifts! **Reminder: Mother's Day is TOMORROW!
What a beautiful corsage!
